Nav Jyoti Kishori Sangharsh Mandal

A group of adolescent girls, the Nav Jyoti Kishori Sangharsh Mandal stands to harness the synergy of the girls for their better future. The prime objectives of the organisation include awareness on physiological changes in adolescence, inculcation of Social responsibility and post marital responsibility, legal awareness and Knowledge on reproductive and sexual health. The groups meet regularly every month and discuss the concerned issue. The following step is collective action for the benefit of the group and community. The examples of collective actions can be seen in girls’ participating in cleaning drives or mobilising the focus group for immunization. The present strength of the Nav Jyoti Kishori Sangharsh Mandal is 3284 girls organized into 247 groups.
